People I've Known

I had a friend like a little pixie,
With sequins head to toe any gig she'd go she'd dance like hell.
I had a friend who liked burgundy,
He had a plan to power his van using a bucket of cats.
I had a friend who was a one eyed pop star,
he'd play beyonce' and use the hall way to do a fashion show.
I had a friend who'd ask the strangest questions,
like "on a scale of one to jelly fish" or "can I lick your eye".
You are the best thing that has happened to me,
but sometimes I forget you are the best thing that has happened to me

I had everything, oh I had it all
All a man could want times 2 or 3 or more.
I chase power, chased pleasure, chased fame.
Was granted the wisdom to succeed at these games... but
It's all meaningless, it's all meaningless
See I had all a man could desire but all the while
Its all meaningless
So if you chase these things, no matter how you try,
oh your soul will never be satisfied
So eat and drink and find pleasure in your toil,
For without God who can find pleasure at all.
Oh my God, its happening again x4

The Noise

oh, you are always thinking in hyperdrive
Worst case scenario every time
You will never be in control
Oh, the other girls they have so much confidence
I wish I had I wish I had that dress
Maybe they are hurting just like you but they won't let you know
Know that I don't blame you
I don't even think to
I just wish that you could be yourself
It makes me sad to see what this world has made you think of yourself
The pressures that are thrust upon you
Listening to the noise can weigh heavy on your soul
I hope you find freedom from it
Don't lose yourself! x6
Oh, you are always thinking in hyperdrive
Worst case scenario every time
You will never be in control

Bromham Adelaide, Australia
Bromham is more of a musical community than a band, a group made up of friends they’ve met along the way, and it shows. Their joy for music and life (and a little bit of silliness) is tangible and infectious as these 14 (or so) musicians all bring their own influences and unique instruments together in a remarkably cohesive and natural way in order to tell stories about their family, friends. ... more
